The healthcare staffing market is stabilizing in 2024, reflecting reduced system strain and a steadier workforce supply. Open orders have leveled at approximately 1,677 per month, with bill rates steady around $90. This normalization follows pandemic-driven surges and sharp market declines in 2022 and 2023.

Recent seasonal shifts have temporarily spiked nursing open orders above 5,000 and bill rates past $100, after months of steady activity. Similarly, the Allied job market experienced a surge due to workforce shortages and seasonal hiring, although open orders declined from 1,800 to 1,000, with bill rates stabilizing between $82 and $85.
