In October of 2013, WellSpan Health System based in York, PA acquired Ephrata Hospital. Ephrata now has more resources to support their services, including the powerful staffing capacity of AHSA.

AHSA has been a vendor neutral single point of contact vendor management service for the entire health system since 2008, to bring simplicity and unparalleled capacity and competition to meet WellSpan’s requirements. In the case of Ephrata’s addition many of their “go-to” agencies were already under contract to AHSA and any more agencies required in the future can be fast-track approved.

Because AHSA is NOT an agency, staffing firms have a genuine business opportunity and are consequently willing, competitive participants. This is key to delivering quality temporary staff, in good turn-around time, at great rates.

Merger and acquisition activity will no doubt continue. AHSA has the capacity to accommodate the change and increased demands, and AHSA employs the business model most attractive to both its valued agencies and member health care facilities.
